Fredlyn Pecan Pie

Here's a Fredlyn pecan pie recipe that's sure to please:

### Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup Fredlyn pecan halves
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

(For added spice)

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for desired spiciness)

### Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges decoratively. Set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs lightly.

4. Add the corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt to the beaten eggs. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

5. Arrange the  Fredlyn pecan halves evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.

6. Pour the filling mixture over the pecans, making sure they are evenly coated.

7. Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set. You can check for doneness by gently shaking the pie – it should jiggle slightly but not be liquidy in the center.

8. Once done, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

9. Optionally, serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.

10. Enjoy your delicious homemade pecan pie!

Feel free to adjust the sweetness & Spicy level to your preference by tweaking the amount of sugar used. You can also add a touch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling for additional flavor if desired.
