King Cashews Are Back! |
|
Nothing is quite as delicious as freshly roasted Indian King (210) Cashews. We used to carry them when they were readily available years ago, before India decided to keep them for themselves and weren't exporting any. But we have them again, and they are just as delicious as we remember them. Yes, they're a bit more expensive, but totally worth it for their buttery flavor and crisp texture.
What can be better than deliciousness that is also one of nature's most nutritious snacks? Simple goodness, in a nutshell. Or, in this case, not. Cashews can't be imported to the US in the shell because of their toxicity (cardol and anacardic acid, like poison ivy). The nutmeats must be extracted before being shipped here. The fruit of the cashew is delicious too, but it begins to spoil after 24 hours and is too delicate to transport.
Enjoy!
